NDGF uses a combination of ARC, dCache and gLite services. Experience with plugging into EGI a site using ARC release 0.8.3 is collected here.
Users of such sites typically benefit from ARC CE functionalities, and use ARC clients.
A generic site
A generic site wishing to offer services to EGI users has to bear in mind that majority of existing user communities are accustomed to use computing services of gLite, and use gLite clients. This means that ARC CE would need to emulate behavior of gLite CEs, since it is not easy to re-train all the existing users.
